The Talented & Beautiful: Cindy Ollig

Cindy Ollig is both a wonderful friend and colleague that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with throughout the years. During wedding season, photographing the phenomenal and detailed work of The Perfect Petal is something I am always eager for! Cindy is the owner of this one of a kind, bold and beautiful boutique floral shop, where variety and design are the true spices of life. The lighthearted, metropolitan and chic styles of The Perfect Petal are not just fantastic and unique, but trendsetting as well. There you can find personal treasures, gifts for loved ones, and floral for occasions both intimate and grand. Cindy is an incredibly talented and BUSY woman, as she also owns Posh, a “sister store” of her floral shop. Posh is filled with an urban and chic style of home design that will both excite and inspire. If you’re in need of anything special or unique you simply must check out Posh located right on the famous Larimer Square in downtown Denver. I hope you like these portraits Cindy, see you soon! Denver Event Photgraphy: Catering By Design

I was so excited to photograph the always amazing Catering By Design’s party that is thrown annually for all of their vendors and clients. I photographed their last fabulous party, so I knew this one was going to be just as good or better! This time I saved plenty of room in my stomach and prepared myself for a great night.

The party took place in CBD’s warehouse, featuring different kinds of foods, deserts, cocktails and treats. Entertainment was high, with a talented flash mob, dancers, and plenty of eye candy for the ladies! Incredibly innovative food displays filled the warehouse, entrees were mounted on the walls, and some snacks were shelved on high ladders- so creative! Not to mention delicious. Catering by Design always throw the most entertaining parties, complete with a band, DJ and dancers on top of the food coolers!  Everyone from the wedding industry was there, eating, drinking, dancing & enjoying themselves.

I have to say thank you to Catering by Design for having me photograph this phenominal party. CBD are one of my favorite cateres in town for a reason! I look forward to working with them again soon!

Event Photography at the Four Season Denver: OneRepublic

I shot these images during the live performance at the Four Seasons Denver Grand Opening party with my 85mm 1.2.  Probably not the lens one would think to use in a situation like this as it’s slow to focus, especially in the dark, but I’m really glad I took the risk because I happen to think the images I got with it are totally bad***!  I always love event photography and this was no different- photographing this band was amazing! OneRepublic, you guys freaking ROCK!

Welcoming the Four Seasons to Denver!

This won’t be news for most of you, but downtown Denver just got better.  The Four Seasons Denver  is now open and in full swing!  I want to express my gratitude for being chosen as one of their preferred photographers. I am SO happy that this gorgeous hotel has graced our city!  It is contemporary and lusciously modern and the people that work there have all been wonderful to me.  I am so excited about this new partnership with them and I can’t wait to shoot a wedding there!  I was given the pleasure of photographing their opening day (all the new employees came to work for the first day, greeted by cheering coworkers, a red carpet, paparazzi photographers, and a DJ rocking out in the lobby. Talk about a great big WARM welcome!)  I was also there for their official grand opening and you could literally feel the buzz of the energy of everyone there.  And finally, I was invited to photograph their Grand Opening party on Nov.6th.  It was spectacular party with amazing food, an open bar, a giant candy room, live music, acrobats hanging from the ceiling, a dance party on the pool deck…and more. I was right next to the stage for the OneRepublic performance…I love that band and they are even more fantastic live! Here are a few favorites and there will be more to come…
