Red Rocks Engagement Photography in Denver: Michele and Bob

My engagement session with the lovely Michele and Bob Hart was incredible on this gorgeous day filled with rainbows at the amazing Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado!

This couple met in 2000 while Michele was bar-tending and they plan on having their wedding on May 5th, 2012 on a Caribbean cruise!!  Michele thinks her wedding colors will be black, white and pink – and looks forward to celebrating on the ocean with her closest friends and family. Sounds amazing, I think a cruise wedding is a fun and unique idea!

I had so much fun with these two at Red Rocks! Michele, a sales manager, and Bob, a Denver police officer, wanted to capture some intimate and beautiful scenery before their big wedding day! All I can say is that this engagement shoot was a huge success! Michele and Bob were not only happy and adorable, but it didn’t hurt to be surrounded by gorgeous cliffs, rocks, and even rainbows!  The happy couple were all smiles once we broke the ice and got going. They did an awesome job at being relaxed and comfortable! I should thank Michele and Bob for being such great sports, especially when I asked them to venture over large rocks and climbing to the perfect spot! It’s so great when a couple is just as eager as I am to try something new and really capture that perfect shot. They really look amazing together, with their own special rainbow and amazing sky. I was so excited when I saw that rainbow coming out, it must have been Michele & Bob’s lucky day!

I am looking forward to seeing Michele and Bob again in early October for their engagement party at the Hudson Gardens! It’s going to be a great day for some wedding photography and celebration! Thanks Michele and Bob for giving me the opportunity to get rugged at Red Rocks and capture some of the most epic and gorgeous engagement photography!

Kristyn and David Engagement Photography: Summit County

Another super fun couple and another gorgeous wedding in summit county to look forward too! Kristyn and David are getting married at Copper Mountain on June 25th this year & I can’t wait to photograph this Colorado mountain wedding! I can already tell that David and Kristyn are going to have a fabulous ceremony AND a killer party with loads of energy coming from themselves as well as all their friends & family that are coming from far and near to celebrate their love and their future together.  I’m sure it gets a little redundant to read over and over again how much I love my couples… but I just can’t help it because I really DO enjoy all the different people that I attract and that are attracted to me and my photography so much!  Krystin and David and I share a lot of similar interests…a love of the Colorado mountains, snowboarding, good food, photography & black labs; just to name just a few. ;-)  We spent about two hours together wandering around a deserted copper mountain village and then found a great spot higher up the mountain to catch the sunset for all of their engagement photos.  This is another pair I am definitely happy to call friends.  Kristyn and David, thanks again for choosing me as your photographer.  Your big day is just around the corner now!  I’m so excited…

P.S. Their big day at Copper Mountain was amazing, click here if you want to see their wedding photos!

Boulder Engagement Photography: Katherine and Kevin

One of my favorite things about my job is when I get to photograph a couple that is as free and easy together as Kevin and Katherine are!  We had so much fun running around for their Boulder engagement photos starting at my (and their) alma-mater, CU, then up and down the busy Pearl Street Mall, and finishing up at Chautauqua Park with views of the stunning Flatirons.  We spent about two hours together just laughing and goofing around and we got some amazing images for their engagement signature book that I will be creating for their wedding guests to sign.  This is becoming a very popular product and it’s always fun to extend the engagement session in order to get more variety for the book.  Katherine and Kevin are SO fabulous together and I am so so excited for their July wedding in Colorado Springs. Thank you again for finding me and for being such great sports! Seriously can not WAIT for your big day!!  It’ll be here before we know it.  :-)

P.S. Their wedding WAS amazing, Check out their wedding photos here!

Eryn & Sean: Ft. Morgan Engagement Photography

I grew up in Ft. Morgan, a small town in northeastern Colorado, and while it’s not exactly “convenient” for me to do photo shoots there now, I often find myself thinking of places I used to drive by or hang out at that would make excellent locations for different photo shoots I fantasize about. One such photo-fantasy came true a couple of weeks ago and I am in love with these engagement photos! When Eryn emailed me and said she was hoping I could give her some ideas for a cool location that included “open spaces and a barn or something” I immediately had the image of this old barn in a huge open field that is right across the highway from the Fort Morgan airport. Besides the fact that Eryn and Sean were willing to trek out to east, I also love this couple because we connected so instantly when we met and I just knew we would have an easy-breezy time together and that I would be able to get amazing images with them. My instincts were correct. :-) I love it when that happens!! We met at the old barn for photos there first then wandered over to the classic rainbow bridge (a high school hang out spot for me) and finished up at Riverside park. Eryn and Sean are getting married at Devil’s Thumb Ranch on Oct. 1st and Julie Gambrell from Classic Creations will be coordinating the wedding. Considering how fab the E-session was, I am SO excited for the actual wedding day and the gorgeous images we are sure to create together! Sessions like this have me fall in love with my craft over and over again… thank you Eryn and Sean for helping me create new Art with your Life! Thank you Julie for introducing us.
