Olivia Lane Gillette: Welcome to Earth!

This post is long overdue!  Sweet Olivia’s newborn photos got caught in the shuffle of the ‘ghost-writer’ back to yours truly transition.  So sorry baby girl! Your mommy has your back though because she noticed and reminded me.  There are so many details to keep track of when you’re a grown up.  One day, a long time from now, you will understand.  Your mommy will always have your back, so don’t worry- daddy too.  And tons of fun grownups like me, that love you dearly now and always.

Either way you special little peanut face, I think you are super cute and I can’t wait to get you in front of my lens again!!  Can you try to be in a better mood net time so I can take MORE please??  :-)   Babies like you should have major photographic records, which you already do have and will.  Kiss kiss sweetie.  Can’t wait to play with you again soon.

Michelle and Michael, your baby girl is so very special to me as are you!!  Please bring her to me for more photos ASAP!  It’s time.  This year is already going so fast!  Between 4 months and 6 months is my favorite age baby to photograph, so anytime before the summer gets too crazy with weddings.  XOX

Denver Baby Photography: Kingston is a Big Boy

My little man Kingston is already a big boy in his Bronco’s gear! Almost one year old, he’s grown so much since our first newborn photo-session. When this handsome guy wasn’t drumming with his hands, he was busy taking in all his new surroundings with his big beautiful and curious eyes. We had lots of fun dancing, singing and banging on the walls to capture some adorable smiles, laughs and love. Kingston really enjoyed playing with my dog Charlie, I think Kingston thought he was a big horse! But my dogs loved it- and so did this adorable baby boy.

As I’ve mentioned in my other baby blogs, I simply LOVE when couples choose the Baby’s First Year collection, which involves five mini-photo sessions with you, your loved ones and of course the star of the show; your baby. This intimate collection allows me to capture your little one who’s busy learning, changing, and growing fast during those first precious and important months of life. We had a lot of fun at Kingston’s final baby photo-session in Denver, Colorado.

Thanks for an amazing year Kingston! I’m sure I’ll see you all soon, XOXO Aunt Fran :)

Newborn Photography in Denver: Beau Thumel

Beau is an adorable newborn baby who I absolutely loved spending time with! I really think I’ve captured some unforgettable and intimate baby and family portraits of this special family.

Probably the best part of my job, as a wedding photographer is the lasting relationships that I’m able to make. I met Beau’s parent’s, Meagan and Bob, when they hired me to photograph their wedding in 2007 and most recently they have hired me for maternity photography and baby photography. Now here we are again, years later taking even more amazing photos of not just the happy couple, but with a new addition in the family!  I absolutely LOVE when parents decide to do the Baby’s First Year photography collection like Beau’s parents did! A baby changes so much in the first year of their life, so this collection allows me to capture intimate photos when they are newborns, and in their third, sixth, ninth and finally twelfth month of life!

Beau’s sweet and  newborn photos make me smile.  I think they will make you smile too.  :-) Thank you Meagan and Bob for being such loyal and wonderful clients and friends. I truly appreciate you giving me the opportunity to continue to watch you and your family grow and thrive!

Denver Newborn Photography: Henry

I’ve been excited for this new baby for months now!! My past client, and now dear friend, Ana just had her first baby boy. She and Patrick couldn’t be more thrilled or in love with their new little bundle of life. They booked my “Babies First Year” collection, so I will get to see baby Henry (at least) 4 more times this year for photo shoots at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year. I LOVE my “Babies First Year” collection! It might even be my favorite thing to book. Life is always so busy and I find it hard to keep up with and see all of the people in this world that I enjoy spending time with, my clients turned friends are no exception. Baby’s First Year is wonderful for me to not only photograph such an amazing year of growth and change, but to also see and connect with the people, clients, friends that I love.

Baby Henry is just, in a word, perfect. He still had his little umbilical cord belly-button and was still covered in little peach fuzz hair. I could tell he was trying to look at me and see what was going on with all that clicking, but he’s still so new, that he probably couldn’t really see me that far away. But, oh MY! What a precious little babe!! I love the newborn photography shoots because, truthfully, they are so easy. A new baby simply IS, and there’s not much to do but find nice light and creative angles and to then just document them being in this world as a very new being. It’s pretty simple, eat, sleep, repeat. I know I know, I missed a couple of other things in there too, but we won’t mention them. ;-)

I really love the family portraits we did with Ana and Pat’s other “baby,” their cute doggie. He was so sweet and kept looking at Henry. I think he knows he just got demoted. ;-) Just kidding, he will always be a baby too, I’m sure.

Congratulations again Ana and Pat! I can’t wait to spend more time with your new family. XOXO
