Julie & Nate: Destination Wedding in Jamaica

What an amazing year we’ve had, and talk about ending it on a high note! For our last wedding of 2009 we got to travel to Jamaica for a gorgeous destination wedding with a wonderful family we got to know at the bride’s older sister’s wedding in Beaver Creek that we photographed last year. We stayed in the beautiful Moon Dance Villas in Negril, Jamaica and were situated right off the gorgeous white sandy beach.  It was perfect… My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! But truly, I can’t complain. We had wonderful accommodations, two awesome families, a great (and fun!) group of people to get to know, not to mention a gorgeous couple, and a gorgeous day!  Thank you so much to the Sapp family for taking Matt and I with you for such a magical wedding experience.  It was truly an honor to be your photographers.  Julie and Nate, thank you for being so fabulous to work with.  I hope you will bask in the beauty of your wedding day forever…

Brandy & Chris Marvel: Wedding

It isn’t often that we get really snowy winter wedding days, but on this particular Saturday in Colorado, it was a full blown blizzard!  Brandy and Chris got married at The Church of the Holy Ghost and had their reception at Denver’s luxurious Ritz-Carlton Hotel.  It was our second opportunity this year to work with Dramatic Event Design, the wedding coordinators, and Michelle and Catherine were so awesome to work with!  The Perfect Petal did all the beautiful floral, and despite the cold and snowy weather, it was a beautiful wedding day and everyone had a blast, including us. :-)   We love our couples!  Thank you Michelle for the referral and thank you to Brandy and Chris for being so much fun to be with on your wedding day!  We will never forget it!

L.A. Wedding

As long as I have been alive, Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays, mainly because I love to dress up, but also (admittedly) because I have a serious weakness for both sugar and chocolate.  But, this year, when the chance came around to photograph a wedding for a entertainment celebrity on 10-31, Halloween went right out the window!  Paige Goodson and CC Dick, the coordinators at Colorado Wedding Company referred us for the job (THANK YOU!) and I was so excited when they ended up choosing us!

The wedding was originally scheduled to be in Colorado, but due to some logistical and weather issues, everything was moved to LA the week before.  As a result of the last minute juggling, I had to find an assistant in LA to help me out and Gavin Wade totally came to my rescue!  Thank you so much Gavin for answering my tweet.  It was so much fun to work with you and I hope you will let me return the favor one day.  Also, the Perfect Petal did all the gorgeous floral that added to the beauty of this extraordinarily intimate and perfect day. And yes, they flew themselves and all the flowers to LA too!

Out of respect for the couple’s privacy and our contractual agreement  I cannot disclose their names.  However, the absolutely stunning bride has given me permission to show a few images of her here on my blog.

Natasha & Matt Harris: October Wedding

I am so excited to get this blog post up!  Finally!  I have been so busy and traveling over the last four weeks. Mexico (twice), then back for one week for Natasha and Matt’s wedding, then off to LA for a wedding the following weekend, then back to Denver for less than 24 hrs before heading to New Orleans for a 5 day photography conference.  Partnercon 2009 NOLA! It’s all been SO much fun and probably goes without saying, but I have I have seriously had my hands full.  However, I am slowly but surely getting caught up and I have so many gorgeous images I want to share. Back to work, back to work!

First of all, Natasha and Matt, we just love you!  Your wedding was spectacular and we truly had so much fun with you and all your friends and families.  We are looking forward to a great friendship with you both.  It was a honor to be included in such a wonderful event, so thank you again for choosing us! I also have to give a huge thank you to Krista Johns from Artessa Photography and Julia Timmer, my amazing assistants for their extra help!  Matt and I really appreciated having you both.  Paige and CC, (two of our Denver favorites!) from Colorado Wedding Company coordinated this most fantastic affair, the Perfect Petal designed all the gorgeous flowers and decor.  Perfect Petal crew, you outdid yourselves…as usual! :-)   Mike and Summer from Rising Moon Video were the videographers, and wonderful to work with as always.

The Ceremony was at the Trinity Methodist Church and the reception was at the Grand Hyatt Pinnacle Club.  And I must not forget the band, Jakarta, who TOTALLY rocked the house!  Whew!  What a night!
