Denver Engagement Photographer: Calie and Aaron are one of my sweet couples getting married over Labor Day weekend this coming August and they were referred to me by their wedding coordinators at Colorado Wedding Company. I always love working with CWC and they always send me the best couples!! After the time we spent together for their engagement session, I am even more excited about their wedding! We had such a great time together and I loved meeting their fur-child as well as Calie’s mom and sister, who were visiting from out of town and decided to come along for the ride.
Since Calie and Aaron are both came to Denver from Texas, they really wanted to do their engagement photos around the city at some of our more famous landmarks so that their guests (mostly coming from out of town) would be able to see a little more of the city when they sign the engagement signature guest book that I am going to create for them. We went to the Millennium bridge in River Front Park, & Union Station (although that was a bit of a fail since its surrounded by chain link fences and under construction) first. Then we cruised up Park Ave to get a great view of the city. From there we drove into downtown to see the clock tower, the big blue bear at the convention center, and ended our tour up on capital hill near the art museum. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and it was wonderful to get to know them and not only photograph them, but give them a mini city tour as well.
These two love birds met working for Purple Land Management LLC in Fort Worth shortly after college. Their romance was sparked, ironically, when they were both assigned to a project in Denver about a year later. They had their first date at the Brown Palace and just over a year later, Aaron took Calie back there to surprise her with his proposal. After she said yes, she was further surprised by his parents, her grandparents, mother, and sister, who were all waiting in the lobby with champagne to celebrate! Good thing she said yes! 🙂
