Golf Course Wedding: Being a Colorado Wedding Photographer, we travel to many different venue locations to capture a bride and groom’s wedding day. From rustic barns, mansions, the beautiful Colorado mountains (check out our latest blog on Colorado Mountain Weddings, here), to our new favorite, golf courses! Given Colorado’s beautiful Spring, Summer, and Fall weather, which happens to fall during wedding season, outdoor weddings are extremely popular. What is becoming more popular are golf course weddings! Among the many weddings we photographed this wedding season, Frances photographed three, stunning and elegant weddings at golf courses, this summer. Annie and Eric: Annie and Eric’s golf course wedding was at The Sanctuary golf course located in Sadlia, CO. The views that can be seen at The Sanctuary golf course are completely breathtaking. In addition to the Colorado Rockies that can be seen from the clubhouse, The Sanctuary has the most incredible waterfall which offers a natural and beautiful background for photos and almost gives the feel of a destination wedding. Annie and Eric love the outdoors and Eric absolutely loves to golf, so based on their hobbies and their desire to have beautiful, outdoor sceneries at their wedding location, The Sanctuary golf course was the perfect place for their golf course wedding! Annie and Eric recruited some of the best in the business to make their dream wedding come true. Jolene with Laurel and Rose perfectly orchestrated the day, florals and centerpieces were made by the amazingly talented The Perfect Petal, and the cake artist was by the unique vendor Nothing Bundt Cakes. Liz and Grant: Liz and Grant had their golf course wedding at the beautiful Castle Pines Golf Course. Castle Pines Golf Course offers many different backdrops making it ideal for anyone who wants a lot of variety in their wedding photos. For instance, Liz and Grant’s first look and bridal portraits were captured alongside dozens of Colorado evergreen trees which made it seem as if they were lost in the mountains somewhere on the trail of love. The ceremony was held at The Social Lawn that sits atop a cliff where views of Pikes Peak and Longs Peak can be seen. The clock tower at the golf course offers a beautiful elevated view of the prelude and ceremony, making it a unique photo-op. Frances Photography was also able to capture the Bride and Groom in a sunflower field! At Liz and Grant’s golf course wedding Heather Allen with Table 6 Productions and the help of The Perfect Petal decorated the reception tent with pale pink and gold accents. The entire day was absolutely incredible and Liz and Grant’s golf course wedding photos turned out beautiful!
Adria and Gavin: Adria and Gavin’s golf course wedding was at the incredible Colorado Golf Club (home of the Senior PGA Tournament, for those golfers out there!) located in Parker, CO. This outdoorsy and active couple love playing golf together, so saying their, “I Do’s” at one of Colorado’s prettiest golf courses was the perfect setting for their wedding day. Like Liz and Grant, Adria and Gavin also hired our dear friend Heather Allen and her team over at Table 6 Productions. Adria and Gavin had some of the sweetest details we’ve seen all wedding season, including gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces made with love by A Design Resource, a Polaroid camera guestbook, sunglasses for guests to wear during the afternoon ceremony, a sign that said, “Trust me you can dance – Alcohol” to encourage confident dancing at the reception, and the most incredible sparkler exit which quickly turned into Frances’ favorite photo of the season!
