My summer calendar is practically bursting at the seams with beautiful weddings and I am so thankful for clients like Katherine and Micheal for making my job so enjoyable and fun! Their wedding was on June 15, 2013 at the Four Seasons Resort in Vail, CO. The ceremony took place on the island on the golf course and the cocktail hour and reception at the Four Seasons. It was a gorgeous day in the mountains and all of the 200+ guests were treated to a classy and elegant, fairy-tale kind of day. The bridesmaids and the bride and her father were dropped off at the ceremony by two horse drawn carriages before they made their way over the bridge and across to the island where they stood in front of a majestic view of the Gore mountain range with blue-bird skies to say their “I-do’s”. The cocktail hour was outside around the pool at the Four Seasons and the reception was split between two giant ballrooms, one for dinner and one for dancing.
After a delicious meal and some fabulous toasts the party really got started! It was one of the most fun receptions I have ever seen or been a part of. Not only did they have Funkiphino, one of my personal favorite wedding bands, but they had all kinds of fun dancing props for all the guests. From tinsel wigs to flashing glasses, and sombreros to blow up guitars, it was a rocking good dance party!
A huge thank you to JoAnn Moore and her fantastic team at Mountains and Meadows for all their hard work in coordinating such a magical wedding. It was a perfectly seamless day and the images I was able to capture for Katherine and Micheal and their families are stunning as a result. When there are that many moving parts and pieces involved in a wedding day, a good timeline and a strong team of professionals truly make ALL the difference in the world in what I am able to accomplish photographically. Last but not least, a great big thank you to Katherine and Micheal and both of their lovely families for including me in such an amazing day. I have enjoyed getting to know you all and working with you more than you know. I look forward to many, many years of friendship and photos. Congratulations!!
