As a Denver wedding photographer, I am so lucky to be able to explore some of the most beautiful spots in the world. From Rocky Mountain weddings in rustic cabins to those chic downtown Denver wedding venues, we have it all right in our own backyards. It is easy to get one of a kind wedding photography when you are wandering some of the most beautiful spaces in the world.
While you can always get some of the best wedding photos by posing the happy couple in front of a beautiful background, I also love to play around with creative wedding photography. Getting at least a couple of unique wedding photos is what makes a couple’s wedding album truly special.
On top of experimenting with wedding photojournalism style shots as the couple gets ready to walk down the aisle and when they are celebrating enduring the reception afterward, I love to get candid wedding photography. Sometimes that means being the strange wedding photographer hidden behind the plants while the couple thinks they are getting private moments. Other times that might mean pushing the couple into a spot that doesn’t feel like an entirely obvious place for snapping romantic photos.
At this gorgeous couple’s wedding at one of the top Denver wedding venues, we found the opportunity for a perfect wedding photo shoot. One of the coolest things about the alley behind The Dairy Block in Downtown Denver is that there is a mirrored ceiling. It gave us a dream location for shooting a candid photo of the bride and groom kissing. With the vintage neon lighting and the empty chairs, it looks like something straight off the big screen.
