Is it springtime yet?? Judging by all the gorgeous babies entering the world, I’d say so! I’m so excited to share the photos I took of newborn baby, Landry Brook Kahl, last week. Landry is my dear friends Elizabeth and Reid’s, second baby girl. You may remember photos of Liz and Hayden (big sis) in the recent past. Well, little Landry is here now and she gets to be the star of the show over the next year while we document her first months of life. I’ve been following the Kahl family for years now and I absolutely love every time I get one of them in front of my lens. Landry is going to be no exception!! I loved meeting her for the first time and running my hands over her soft skin, touching her wild hair (is that a mow-hawk?!), and inspecting her very long fingers and toes! I know where she get’s those big feet from (Liz!-haha). She is perfect. Reid and Liz, you two make really beautiful babies!! Are you sure you are done?? 
I am in love with these sweet photos I took with baby Landry and her mommy on a warm spring morning at my home studio. Judging by her gorgeous mommy, her handsome daddy, and her darling siblings, this baby has some powerful genetics on her side! I can’t wait to spend time with her over the years watching and documenting her growing up. I feel lucky to have friends from my own childhood still in my life and closer than ever. Elizabeth, you are near and dear to my heart and your new baby is too!! I can’t wait to hang out with you and your daughters when they are old enough to go shopping and get manicures with us! Armed with tea pots, talking flowers, and sleeping potion (mommy’s milk), Alice slipped into dreamland just in time for me to capture a few dreamy smiles in her first weeks of life. I wonder what babies dream about anyway… ? I am so lucky that my sister and brother-in-law live so close to me. I get to see Alice almost everyday and everyday that I see her I love her just a little more. I have never been so intrigued with a baby before and I can only think it has something to do with the fact that she belongs to us… to all of her extended family. Never before in the history of either of our families (Marron’s and Jenkins’s) has a baby been born with literally endless possibilities for her life based on the support system she will have as she grows up. I like to sit quietly and hold her little hand and think about all the things she might be. What if she turns out to be a rockstar? Or an astronaut? Or a singer? Or a writer? Or a doctor? Or a traveling trapeze artist???
