Denver Engagement Photography in Wash Park: Tracy and Justin

What a beautiful day for some intimate engagement photography with Tracy and her soon to be husband, Justin in Denver at Wash Park.

This adorable couple met downtown at a bar, and as they say, the rest is history! Justin is a firefighter, and Tracy works for a seismic company. These two plan on getting married next June at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, Colorado.

If these two aren’t out and about downtown Denver, or outside enjoying the beautiful weather, they are probably spending some time with their beautiful and loved golden retriever Bella. I had a great time in Wash Park with Tracy, Justin and of course Bella. We had a great time capturing some beautiful photographs of the happy trio, with colorful flowers and using the scenic background of Wash Park. Tracy and Justin were great models, they were very comfortable with each other, which created a soft and intimate feel for the photographs. These two were even willing to jump a couple of fences and get a little muddy! Bella did a great job looking right at the camera and just being incredibly adorable. That is, until she found the mud too! But even then she was cute. :)

I absolutely loved the save the date sign that Tracy had brought for the photographs! What a cute idea for Bella to wear it! I can’t wait to see all of them again for an amazing June wedding. It’s going to be gorgeous wedding in Larkspur, especially that time of year! Good luck with the planning guys and thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful, and fun, engagement photographs!

Denver Engagement Photography: Stef and Tim

This adorable couple, or trio, is every wedding photographers dream!  Stef, Tim, TJ and I had a blast in downtown Denver doing some amazing engagement photography!

This picture perfect couple met through a mutual friend at work, and as they say, the rest is history! Stef, otherwise known to her close friends as “Butters” is a dance coach at Columbine high school, and formerly a Denver Bronco’s cheerleader.  Tim, a root canal specialist, purposed to his bride at the Pathways Church in Denver on a Thursday afternoon, a completely unexpected, romantic and wonderful surprise! They love to travel, play games, and hang out with the adorable TJ.

I truly enjoyed working with Stef, Tim and of course  TJ, who is quite the entertainer and stud might I add :)  Not only were they incredibly photogenic, but they also had great care-free attitudes, and were willing to do anything and go everywhere! Clowning around with TJ, blowing kisses to one another and walking the streets of Denver was such a great time on this perfect summer afternoon. Shooting these three made my job pretty easy! It doesn’t take long to see that they are all so excited and happy for the upcoming wedding! I totally loved Stef’s pink dress and awesome heels! The guys also looked great in their matching shirts!

When this couple isn’t enjoying a concert or rooting for the Nuggets, Bronco’s or Rockies, they are spending time with TJ, watching him grow and thrive in athletics. Tim’s handsome six-year-old son TJ is taking on the big role of being the best man for their special day! Stef and Tim plan on taking some photos before the wedding at Stef’s stomping ground- Invesco field! I have never done photography at Invesco so I’m totally excited! The couple plans on a contemporary wedding, with pink, grey and black color themes and Tim’s good friend as the guitarist for cocktail hour.

I am so thrilled to be shooting this exciting couples Colorado wedding! Tim and Stef’s wedding site will be at the Four Seasons in downtown Denver on September 4th 2011.  I truly can’t wait for their amazing September wedding, I know it’s going to be a great day filled with amazing wedding photography, love, celebration and how could I forget – dancing!!

Red Rocks Engagement Photography in Denver: Michele and Bob

My engagement session with the lovely Michele and Bob Hart was incredible on this gorgeous day filled with rainbows at the amazing Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado!

This couple met in 2000 while Michele was bar-tending and they plan on having their wedding on May 5th, 2012 on a Caribbean cruise!!  Michele thinks her wedding colors will be black, white and pink – and looks forward to celebrating on the ocean with her closest friends and family. Sounds amazing, I think a cruise wedding is a fun and unique idea!

I had so much fun with these two at Red Rocks! Michele, a sales manager, and Bob, a Denver police officer, wanted to capture some intimate and beautiful scenery before their big wedding day! All I can say is that this engagement shoot was a huge success! Michele and Bob were not only happy and adorable, but it didn’t hurt to be surrounded by gorgeous cliffs, rocks, and even rainbows!  The happy couple were all smiles once we broke the ice and got going. They did an awesome job at being relaxed and comfortable! I should thank Michele and Bob for being such great sports, especially when I asked them to venture over large rocks and climbing to the perfect spot! It’s so great when a couple is just as eager as I am to try something new and really capture that perfect shot. They really look amazing together, with their own special rainbow and amazing sky. I was so excited when I saw that rainbow coming out, it must have been Michele & Bob’s lucky day!

I am looking forward to seeing Michele and Bob again in early October for their engagement party at the Hudson Gardens! It’s going to be a great day for some wedding photography and celebration! Thanks Michele and Bob for giving me the opportunity to get rugged at Red Rocks and capture some of the most epic and gorgeous engagement photography!

Berry Patch Engagement Photos in Denver

Lisa and Pat are another one of my adorable couples getting married at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, CO on October 22, 2011. When we were setting up their engagement photo session, Lisa and Pat were both interested in having me photograph them doing some of the things they love to do together. We planned our session around a few such activities, including picking fresh berries at the Berry Patch Farms in Brighton, CO, hanging out with their dogs in their oasis of a garden backyard, and riding their cruiser bikes around Sloan’s Lake, right near their house in Denver. We had so much fun and it was so easy to capture them as their natural selves with great smiles and great energy together. I am always game to do something fun for the engagement sessions! I have never turned anyone down to do something a little out of the ordinary.

So couples, when we are planning YOUR engagement photography, make sure to tell me about what the two of you enjoy doing together. The engagement photos will mean so much more to you both that way. Lisa and Pat, I’m thrilled you love these photos so much and now that we spent that time together, I am even MORE excited to photograph your wedding day. It’s going to be amazing! And, as time flies by this summer, it will be fall before we know it.
