Outdoor Boudoir Photography: I have been photographing gorgeous, brave women in spectacular mountainous parts of Colorado for a couple of years now, but this photo shoot with the fabulous beauty, Evelyn, takes the cake. Evelyn is a graphic designer from Northern California and had done a more typical boudoir session there that she wasn’t in love with. She started searching for different kinds of boudoir photography and stumbled upon my website. We booked her shoot for 7 months out so that we could take advantage of the summer wildflowers and boy, did we hit it perfectly! Besides being incredibly comfortable in her own skin, Evelyn was adventurous and more than willing to do some major off-roading to get to some locations that are not easy to get to. We had a blast and the weather was incredible. We had everything from sunshine to a soft cloud cover, to dark dramatic skies, to a little rain, and back to sunshine again. Welcome to Colorado! It made things a little interesting, but the variety we were able to capture in the 3 hours between the lighting and the locations was more than I could have hoped for. When I sent Eveyln her images she had this to say:
“AWESOME!!! You are AWESOME!!!
That photo shoot at Van Eden ranks as one of the top 10 best experiences of my life! We have already been talking about what I want to do next year with you! I am so inspired by you and the people I met there in Colorado.
As a result of this trip I am going to protect my time better and not work to the detriment of my health. Thank you Frances, you are an amazing artist!”
Photographing woman in natural settings is quickly becoming my favorite thing to do! I have always been inspired by the mountains. Putting natural feminine beauty inside a setting of natural majesty is a magical combination for me as a photographer and artist. Swoon.
